The Ministry of Tourism and Environment, in collaboration with various actors from public institutions, civil society and the private sector, is aiming to provide innovation through exploring opportunities to support Albanian tourism through the involvement of young people. Innovation will be possible through embracing an new approach to provision of information, tourist hospitality, and employment of young people in the summer. The project Smile Albania incorporates an ecological and community model through raising environmental awareness.
Some 15 information points, nine border crossing, and 1,000 young people have been welcoming tourists and providing information on Albania. Activities, festivals and visits were held each day in the coast and mountainous areas. Prime Minister Edi Rama, Minister of Tourism and Environment Blendi Klosi and Minister of Culture Mirela Kumbaro attended the event.
