Job Title: Financial Control Department Manager
Reports to: Chief / Deputy Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Tirana 
Closing Date: August 10th, 2026

Role Objective:

The objective of Financial Control Department Manager is to oversee and manage the financial controls activities within the bank. This role includes ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial reporting, managing internal controls and ensuring fulfillment of international accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Financial Control Department Manager role requires strategic oversight of financial processes, team leadership and continuous improvement of financial practices to assist Finance Division to successfully comply with in force requirements aiming easing the financial decision-making to improve the bank’s financial health.

Main Responsibilities:

• Financial Controlling and Analysis (conduct financial analysis to provide insights of the bank’s financial data accuracy, supporting management decisions)
• Internal Control and Compliance (ensures compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards and internal policies. Oversees the compliance with tax regulations, regulatory framework and other regulatory obligations)
• Team leadership and development (manage and develop high-performing team of financial controllers and other staff within the department. Manage and increase the collaboration of the team to support the bank’s financial objective. Implements procedures and processes which comply with the objective of the department and increase the productivity)
• Strategic financial oversight (provides support in the evaluation and execution of strategic projects, ensuring financial feasibility and risk mitigation. Assists in making data-driven decisions related to investment, cost management and capital allocation)
• System and process improvements (oversees the implementation and enhancement of financial systems, ensuring they support the bank’s reporting and control needs. Recommends and leads the process improvements within the financial control function, to increase the accuracy and efficiency).

Formal criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related equivalent field.
• Minimum of 5 years in finance reporting, controlling, accounting or audit, with a minimum with a 2 years of experience on managerial role.
• Professional designation is highly preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of English language, both written and spoken.

Required skills/competences:

• Strong understanding and knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles (IFRS, GAAP) and financial reporting processes.
• High knowledge of financial systems (SAP, Oracle or similar), and advanced excel skills.
• Strong analytical-mindset to support the improvement of strategic insights of financial organization.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate to financial issues.
• Excellent collaboration and communication with other units of the division or other structures of the bank for the coordination and implementation of the relevant reports.
