Role Objective:

The Mortgage Center Specialist is responsible for supporting the mortgage lending activities by reviewing, analyzing, and processing mortgage and retail credit applications. The role ensures accurate evaluation of customer financial information, completeness of credit documentation, compliance with the Bank’s credit policies and procedures, and timely processing of credit requests. The Mortgage Center Specialist contributes to achieving the Bank’s lending objectives by supporting quality credit decisions, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring effective cooperation with internal structures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and analyzes mortgage and retail credit applications, financial documents, and customer information to assess creditworthiness and repayment capacity.
  • Verifies the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of information provided by customers in loan applications and supporting documentation.
  • Ensures that credit files are prepared according to the Bank’s Credit Manual, internal procedures, and product requirements.
  • Analyzes customer income, financial obligations, repayment history, savings information, and other relevant financial indicators to support credit assessment.
  • Performs checks in the Credit Register Bureau for customers and all relevant persons related to each credit application.
  • Evaluates customer financial records and prepares credit analysis and recommendations for loan requests, amendments, and other credit-related cases.
  • Prepares credit proposals and related documentation for submission to the responsible approval authorities.
  • Communicates with customers when necessary to clarify information, collect additional documentation, and support the proper evaluation of the customer’s financial situation.
  • Supports the preparation of credit cases presented to the relevant approval structures by providing accurate analysis and relevant information.
  • Ensures assigned tasks are completed accurately, efficiently, and within established deadlines.
  • Supports the Mortgage Center Manager in achieving lending targets and maintaining portfolio quality.
  • Ensures compliance with Bank policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and internal control standards related to credit activities.
  • Maintains confidentiality and proper handling of customer information in accordance with Bank regulations.
  • Follows updates related to credit procedures, regulations, and banking products and applies them accordingly.
  • Participates in trainings, workshops, and professional development activities related to mortgage lending and banking processes.
  • Performs other duties of similar nature assigned by supervisors.

Formal criteria:

  • University Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or related fields.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in lending, mortgage financing, credit processing, or underwriting within the Bank.

Required skills/competences:

  • Good knowledge of mortgage lending processes and retail banking products.
  • Good understanding of credit assessment principles and loan documentation requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to evaluate financial information.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and responsibility in performing assigned tasks.
  • Good communication, presentation, and customer relationship management skills.
  • Ability to organize workload, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Results-oriented approach and ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to cooperate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Good problem-solving and decision-support skills.
  • Good knowledge of English language, written and oral.
  • Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and banking systems.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
