Position: Senior Risk Specialist
Reports to: Risk Director (NOA Segment)
Location: Tirana

Job Description:

Senior Risk Specialist ensures that loan applications are in compliance with principles and lending criteria from risk perspective, with the ultimate goal to mitigate risk.

Main Responsibilities:

• Checks the client application based data for the loan submitted from the respective Loan Officer, giving a professional opinion regarding the situation of the client participating in the Credit Committee in compliance with the lending policies and procedures in place;
• Performs randomly verification visits post loan origination process with the purpose to verify all information submitted in the credit committee and identifies development needs for loan officers;
• Ensures that all applications are in compliance with the lending policies in force;
• Responds very fast to loan officers requirements, asking the right questions and prepares summaries of loan cases and refers his / her opinion to the Credit Committee, making the other Credit Committee’s members aware on the identified risks and the measures proposed related to mitigation of loan risk;
• Coaching and training of the sales staff of the respective branches related to credit risk assessment, focusing on credit quality lending;
• Delivers training programs according to her/his expertise;
• Participates as a member with full rights in the Credit Committee;
• Ensures that all loans are in compliance with the lending policies in force;
• Identifies different data problems in all systems in use and reports them on time for correction in Loan Administration Unit;
• Evaluates capacity and provides risk opinion related to any restructuring proposal/request;

Formal criteria:

• University degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economy, Business administration or other related fields;
• Previous experience in portfolio building, has worked to maximize the size, quality and stability of credit clients portfolio;
• Preferably 4 years of a sales positions in a financial institution/bank;

• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, active listening);
• Excellent target oriented profile;
• Excellent credit analysis and accounting skills;
• Ability to build positive relationships within the company and capable of establishing professional expertise through integrity and dedication;
• Excellent training skills;
