Position: Underwriter for Retail

Reports to: Risk Director (NOA Segment)

Location: Tirana

Job Description:

Underwriter for Retail ensures that consumer loan applications are in compliance with principles and lending criteria from risk perspective, with the ultimate goal to mitigate risk.

Main Responsibilities:

• Checks the client application data, submitted from the respective Customer Service Specialist/online, taking a professional opinion on the client situation in compliance with the credit policies and procedures in place;
• Ensures that all applications & active loans are in compliance with the lending policies in force;
• Call clients who have shown interest or have applied to the web / facebook, to accurately record the data and register the application in the system;
• Ensure that customer data during the application, are correctly set up in the system, correct them if inconsistency is identified;
• Has full rights for decision making on Retail Loans based on scoring criteria;
• Identifies data quality problems in all systems in use and reports them on time for correction;
• Performs other duties requested by Retail Manager.

Formal criteria:

• University degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economy, Business administration or other related fields;
• Preferably 2 years of a sales positions in a financial institution/bank;
• Very good knowledge of the English language.

• Very good ability to attract, manage and develop commercial relationships;
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, active listening);
• Demonstrated ability to achieve sales goals;
• Ability to build positive relationships within the company and capable of establishing professional expertise through integrity and dedication;
