Job Description:

The Director of Alternative Channels Department is responsible for the development and control of the strategy for digital and alternative channels of distribution of banking services, with the aim of improving the customer experience, operational efficiency and expanding access to banking services.

This role oversees the management and performance of alternative channels, including cards, digital banking, ATMs, POS, self-service channels and strategic partnerships, ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework, security standards and internal policies of the Bank.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Organizing, coordinating and monitoring the Department's operational activities.
  • Summarizing the daily activities of the electronic payment channel.
  • Maintaining relations with contractors and electronic payment vendors.
  • Monitoring and reporting business results on electronic payment channels and sites (ATM, POS, E-commerce, Online Banking).
  • Managing and configuring the workflows of the electronic site operation.
  • Proposing and implementing new projects and features related to electronic payments.
  • Planning and coordinating with the bank and the vendor team the required tests for the operation of new features.
  • Determining the needs and responsibilities of the Department's personnel.
  • Directing the Department's personnel and supervising their activities for the efficient functioning of the Department.
  • Managing the flow of information between the Head Office and the Branches in connection with electronic payment channels.
  • Manages the daily work and program of the project and the work and program in the connections with cards, ATM, POS, E-commerce & Online
  • Banking with other departments and third party organizations as appropriate.
  • Participates in solving various cross-sectoral problems and assists in bank projects related to electronic products and services.
  • Controls and checks that all work performed in the Department is carried out accurately, on time, with precision and in accordance with internal regulations and rules.
  • Handling and administering invoices arising from electronic payments activity.
  • Preparing activity/performance reports for the department in charge. 

Formal criteria:

  • University Degree in Economics, Management, IT or similar fields;
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Banking or IT sector, among them 3 years in a managerial role;
  • Experience in managing alternative channels such as Mobile & Web Banking, ATM, POS & E-Commerce;
  • Advanced knowledge of digital transformation and innovation;
  • Project management skills;
  • Leadership and team management;
  • Very good communication skills.
