We are seeking to recruit an experienced and very dynamic employee, in the position of Branch Manager for Lushnje Branch at American Bank of Investments.

Job Description:

Manages controls and plans the Branch’s resources in order to ensure a smooth running of the daily work and achieving the Branch targets.

Provides maximum contribution to the profitable growth of the bank in line with the strategic guidelines and fully complying with Bank’s policies, procedures and compliance regulations.

Duties and responsibilities

Human Resources

  • Supervise the Branch human resources on following the pertinent regulations and procedures, starting from the dress code, ethics, behavior and presentation in full compliance with the HR Manual.
  • Organize work according to the workload and number of staff at work, aiming the improvement of customer service.
  • Require training and staff development in accordance to the needs and latest developments at work.
  • Make sure that the whole branch staff is familiar with all manuals, instructions and procedures related to the bank’s services and products.
  • Make periodical job performance evaluations for the branch staff and propose the career path for each employee.
  • Responsible for correct reporting to Network Sales Division and Human Resources Division regarding the presence of staff at work or any changes related to his staff (long-term employee leaves such as pregnancy, disease, civil status, absences, etc.).

Marketing / Public Relations

  • To represent ABI Bank in the community where the branch operates.
  • To lead and carry out meetings with existing and potential clients to promote the bank’s products and realize the sale of these products, to maintain regular contacts with the clients.
  • To establish cooperative relations with the local public institutions and attend the relevant activities organized by them.
  • To monitor the customer’s reaction to the service offered by the branch staff and continually take measures for the improvement of its quality, ensuring that is offered full and quality bank assistance to the clients.
  • To monitor the client behavior in the market and carry out relevant surveys. To collect data and analyze the economic situation, its general trends and those of specific sectors of the economy.
  • To be very well acquainted with the market competition, to identify the advantages or disadvantages of ABI products and services, and make proposals on potential changes aiming at the maximization of results.
  • To design and implement short term plans for the sale of retail banking products according to the approved annual plan.

Administrative and Security Affairs

  • The branch manager is the responsible person for the branch’s security in accordance with the regulations and rules defined by the Head Office.
  • The application of the conditions outlined in the contract of service, protection and security of the object by the private Security Company.
  • To keep under control the functioning of the alarm system at all times, and in all cases when the alarm sounds (within the workday and especially after hours), in cooperation with the H.O
  • To notify the relevant department on any technical problem or failure of the alarm system and observation-control equipment, in order to take measures for their reparation.
  • To solve any issue related to the object’s security presented by the security employee.

Reporting / Cooperation with the H.O

  • To follow the periodical analyses organized by the Head Office, make clear the causes, justify all deviations from the approved plan, and inform the branch staff on the financial situation after these analyses.
  • To examine the Audit reports, preparing the necessary action plan to correct the problems in the branch activity, to carry out all the recommendations and suggestions included in the control report, and report the results to the relevant structures of the H.O.
  • To propose the budget plan for the successive year to the Network Division in accordance with the bank’s general objectives.

Lending and Loan Administration

  • To propose all credit cases to the responsible structures at the H.O, after being convinced on the client’s creditworthiness, credibility and integrity.
  • To make sure the client’s credit files are prepared in compliance with the procedures defined in the Credit Manual and the included documentation is correct according to the specified rules.
  • To sign all loan and mortgage contracts, specific annexes, etc.
  • To ensure the completeness of all conditions before loan disbursement.
  • To ensure that the loan is being used according to the Credit Committee approval.
  • To realize periodical visits to the existing loan customers and to be informed about the loan utilization.
  • To ensure that the branch obtains and completes in due time the necessary documentation for updating the customers’ financial situation once a year or more often as required.

Organization / Coordination

  • To follow the results and report them to the superiors (the Network Division and other H.O structures upon request and according to the level of authority).
  • To ensure the organization of work, coordination & monitor the fulfillment of work processes according to the programs.

General Tasks

  • To achieve the branch targets approved by the H.O.
  • To closely follow the regulations related to work in order to allow the branch a quick adaptation and inform the responsible persons in the branch on the potential developments and changes.
  • To exercise the necessary control to avoid deviations from the policy and general objectives as well as the application standards; to inform H.O structures on the identified deviations.
  • To analyze daily reports generated by the system and check the daily situation and potential developments.
  • To perform other duties assigned by superiors.

Required technical skills:

  • University degree in Economics or related fields;
  • At least 3 years of work experience in the banking industry
  • Personal leadership skills;
  • Sales and negotiation skills;
  • To have good knowledge of English;
  • To have good communication, presentation, coordination and persuasive skills
  • To have good knowledge of using computers
  • To have advanced knowledge of regulations
  • To have deep knowledge of the banking sector
  • To be capable of calmly working under pressure
