ABI helps families in need

American Bank of Investments upon the request of the Albanian Red Cross and the Municipality of Kamez started the process of helping 200 families in need. This contribution follows assistance provided during the last months for over 400 pensioners, in Tirana, Kamez, Vore and Paskuqan, as well as the donation made a few days ago of three respirators for the health authorities.

The situation created in the country by Covid-19, has put in difficulty quite a few Albanian families, which were found unprepared to face the situation during the quarantine period.

Following the efforts to be closer to the communities and vulnerable social groups, American Bank of Investments continues to give its contribution to smooth this situation, being in contact with institutions and associations that a part of their work is identification of the most affected families and groups.

During the donation of the packages, the deputy Mayor of Kamez, Mr. Hasan Bara expressed his gratitude for the support ABI has given them during these difficult days:

"I thank ABI Bank, which responded immediately to our request, proving solidarity and social sensitivity, through the donation of this significant assistance to the most vulnerable families in the municipality of Kamez. During these days, your support has been of great importance to face this difficult situtation.”

Mrs. Xhulieta Mucollari, director of the Red Cross Tirana Branch expressed:

"The Albanian Red Cross, Tirana branch, thanks Abi Bank for becoming part of our humanitarian activities again. Abi Bank has supported the Albanian Red Cross, not only in social projects but also in the voluntary blood donation project.
ABI Bank immediately responded to our call for help and 100 families in need were helped with food packages and hygiene items, thus contributing to alleviating the social consequences created by this situation.”

As a business that has social responsibility as one of its pillars, American Bank of Investments has always been close to the needs of the community, responding to the priorities of the moment.

Mrs. Aida Apostoli, Chief Retail Officer:

"Being close to the vulnerable groups in this moment is a civic and human duty! The social responsibility to us, is an important component. In normal situations, we generously support projects for Art, Culture, Youth; investments in facilities that serve the community and of course the vulnerable groups. In such a situation, of course, priorities change. Once ABI became familiar with the requirements to help families in need, we responded immediately. We have prepared baskets of food for every family. These aids go to support families in need, but we are here to say that we have been and will always ready to support the needs of the community.”
