On 27 August, the International Jazz Festival 2018 in Shkodra began, an event that evokes, commemorates, stimulates and promotes jazz music, and more.

In this year’s ninth edition of this festival, which lasted until 2 September, there was jazz and classical music, with great musicians who delighted the audiences, as well as performances from young instrumentalists. This festival was organized for the second time at the Rrok Academy which gave master classes by artists for talented young people of the city.

The most peaceful means used by African Americans to claim their rights was jazz music. A musical stream conceived as the most worthy manifestation of the desire for freedom and its pursuit in a peaceful and cultured way. That is why this music has become widely appreciated and loved in the modern world.
